Bipolar Disorder Symptoms in Children
Bipolar disorder is a serious issue in teens. More than two
millions are suffering from bipolar disorder and more than
seven percent are teens. So, if you suspect that your child has
symptoms of bipolar, then you should take your time to watch

- The patient has a lot of physical irritation.
In the depressive phase, the teen shows the following
symptoms:
- The patient shows ongoing sadness
- The patient has the feelings of emptiness and
worthlessness
- Teen feels too much fatigue or loss of energy
- It is very difficulty for the patient to concentrate
- The patient does not show physical vigorousness.
- He or she does not show interest in pleasurable
activities
- The child either has a problem of over sleeping or
insomnia
There are many ways to successfully treat the bipolar
disorder in children. One of the treatment methods that is used
for adults can also be used for treating children. This
treatment option is cognitive therapy. This therapy helps the
person to cope with their behavioral changes and help them to
deal with it in a better manner. If you choose this treatment
method for your child then your child will be better equipped
to deal with mood swings. Doing so will also enable your child
to prevent the mania episodes as well.
Make sure that your child is showing signs of improvement
due to the above mentioned treatment method. If it is not
working or your child is too young to go through this therapy
then you can make changes.
