- He or she does not show interest in pleasurable activities
- The child either has a problem of over sleeping or insomnia

There are many ways to successfully treat the bipolar disorder in children. One of the treatment methods that is used for adults can also be used for treating children. This treatment option is cognitive therapy. This therapy helps the person to cope with their behavioral changes and help them to deal with it in a better manner. If you choose this treatment method for your child then your child will be better equipped to deal with mood swings. Doing so will also enable your child to prevent the mania episodes as well.

Make sure that your child is showing signs of improvement due to the above mentioned treatment method. If it is not working or your child is too young to go through this therapy then you can make changes.
